burning man

I don't know what you've heard about Burning Man. If you've spoken to anybody that's been, they've probably just said, "You should go and experience it for yourself," because it's a week long journey that's hard to put into words. Hell, for an Australian, even getting supplies at Walmart is an experience in itself.

I'll do as much as explain the first photo. After driving 549km in an enormous family-sized motorhome on the wrong side of the road (aka the right side), not a lot of sleep and bumper to bumper cars in line to the gate, a thunderstorm made its way across the desert. The festival was forced to close the gates to avoid people driving in playa mud. So we waited in line for 24 hours. The moment we got our grubby little mits on those damned tickets, is when that first photo was taken - check Shawn's left hand.

That was all before we even got through the gates.

So having said that, I won't even attempt to explain the week long experience of what went on from that point forward. An image speaks a thousand words, so I'll let the photos do the talking.

  1. Looks like a crazy place! Loving the pensive Shawn shot. Shawn with Beard + make up = great look! Wicked photos. Love the colours. Hope the music was great! Looks like you had a heap of outfits.
