lake atitlan, guatemala

We had heard that Lake Atitlan is the most beautiful lake in the world. It's definitely the most beautiful one we have seen. To be honest, one of the highlights was tucking into the goods from a care-package that Shawn's mum had sent us. While in San Pedro, we ordered plain toast from our hostel... the perfect canvas for our Vegemite. We then took a 5 Quetzales boat over to our Aussie friends who were staying in San Marcos... where we whipped out a packet of Tim Tams and Wagon Wheels. We spent the night drinking too much red wine (note the photo of Shawn prancing around in a creepy mask we found) and indulging in Tim Tam slammers. One morning we arose before the sun to climb the Indian's Nose. With a hot cup of tea in hand, it was one of the best sunrises we have seen on the trip so far.
At the time of our staying here, our friends were getting married and as we regretted not being able to attend, we made them a little video while in Lake Atitlan. We thought we'd include it in this post for kicks.
